Summer at St. Matthew’s
Pick-Up Choir — During the summer months the St. Matthew’s Choir provides musical leadership on a casual basis – no gowns, rehearsal only on Sunday morning, and no membership required! If you would like to join the choir members on Sundays, just show up at 9:45 am to prepare the hymns and service music.
Accessible Fellowship Time — After church the congregation is remaining in the church sanctuary for Fellowship Time, as decided at the June Congregational Meeting, in order to ensure accessibility for all.
Church Summer Office Hours — Tuesday to Thursday, 8 am to noon.
Open for Visitors —St. Matthew’s welcomes tourists and visitors not only on Sunday mornings, but also daily Tuesdays to Saturdays, thanks to Tom Fraser, our Church Guide, who is pleased to share the long history (268 years) of our congregation in Halifax. If you are hosting guests from out-of-town, bring them to see the church and you might also hear student organist Matthew Fraser practising.
