Potluck Church Oct. 17

Plan to attend Potluck Church on Tue. Oct. 17, 5:30–7 pm in the sanctuary. This is an opportunity to share a casual meal, conversation, and quality time with others in the congregation. Everyone is invited to bring something to share, either homemade or purchased from a store.

Thanks to …

  • Members of the Worship and Music Committee for decorating the sanctuary for Thanksgiving
  • David and Matthew Fraser, Craig Wallace, and Jolene Pattison for their efforts to provide technical support for the sound system and computer screens. If you have skills in this area, more volunteers would be welcome!

Hold in your prayers …

Funeral service will be held at St. Matthew’s on Saturday at 1 pm for the late Ken Publicover, who died last week of brain cancer. Please hold his wife, Karen, and daughter, Aria, in your prayers.

News from Keith Wiseman

Keith Wiseman, who came to St. Matthew’s last year as a student from the Atlantic School of Theology, has decided not to pursue further studies in ordained ministry. He will be seeking employment in Halifax, and sees in his future some involvement in lay ministry with a special emphasis on pastoral care. As he moves on this new path, he plans to join our congregation and choir – and so we welcome Keith to our activities in a new capacity, and with open arms and hearts.
