GRANT INNES PAINTINGS
In 2006, artist Grant Innes (raised in Halifax, now living in New York City) donated a collection of his paintings to St. Matthew’s. These paintings had originally been commissioned by the Worship Unit of the General Council of the United Church for use in a collection of worship resources.
The fifteen paintings incorporate both symbol and word to reflect the major seasons and celebrations of the church year. They are displayed, in chronological order, in the Church Hall.
