Funeral Saturday for Donna Salter
A funeral service will be held Saturday at 10:30 am at St. Matthew's for the late Donna Salter, who died at the end of March after a prolonged illness. Donna was the sister of Dale MacLennan of our congregation, and daughter of the late Bill and Georgie MacLennan.

St. Matthew's Book Club
The Book Club meets on Tue. May 22 at 2 pm at 5662 Roberts St. The book topic is "The Summer Before the War" by Helen Simonson. Goodreads calls it "… a breathtaking novel of love and war that reaches far beyond the small English town in which it is set." Successful fundraising concert for Nigerian flutist
Thanks to all who either attended and/or supported the fundraising concert for Nigerian flute student Ogo-Oluwa Sobukola at St. Matthew's. There was an appreciative audience of about 70, and about $3,000 was raised.
Bluenose Marathon June 9 this year
Waiting for the annual warning about needing extra time to get to the church during Bluenose Marathon weekend? In past years the Marathon has coincided with the Victoria Day long weekend, but not this year! The Marathon is scheduled for Sunday June 9 – and there will be church, but no Sunday school that day.
